AB 3311 – Prohibits the use of drones by law enforcement to observe or collect data at concerts, protests, demonstrations, or other actions protected by the first amendment. Requires a search warrant for any use of drones for law enforcement purposes that are not specifically prohibited, or to obtain any data gathered by a drone that is owned or controlled by a private company, individual, or a government agency. Prohibits law enforcement from using drones equipped with facial recognition software or using facial recognition on video or images obtained by drones. Prohibits drones equipped with devices used for crowd control or any weapons.
